Polishing Column & Boom

The Polishing Column & Boom is an automated machine designed for polishing, grinding, and planing the internal and external surfaces of large containers, tanks, and structural components. This machine utilizes a column boom structure, employing multi-dimensional motion—column rotation, boom lifting, and extension—to precisely deliver the polishing or grinding head to the workpiece's treatment area. Compared to single-function welding column boom machines, the core advantage of the polishing column boom machine lies in its multi-functional integration and professional surface treatment capabilities. It typically integrates multi-functional grinding heads and a high-efficiency dust collection system, enabling it to perform various tasks such as weld reinforcement grinding, root planing, and internal lining polishing, suitable for various materials including carbon steel and stainless steel. Its working range is wide, with boom lifting and extension strokes configurable according to model, for example, up to 4 meters (lifting) × 6 meters (extension), and it can travel on a track via a mobile trolley to cover a larger work area. Polishing Column & Boom is primarily used in the following fields and processes: Weld Treatment: Used for root planing, weld reinforcement grinding, and polishing of internal and external circumferential and longitudinal seams on large workpieces such as pressure vessels, boilers, storage tanks, and towers.
